Circle Star Ranch Circle Star Ranch, a Quarter Horse ranch located in the rolling hills of San Saba County, had a website that needed updating. With several world champions in the barn and a promising foal crop each year, Circle Star had all the building blocks for success - except an effective web presence. Starting from the pre-existing site, Dark Horse created a navigation system that allows prospective customers to easily locate a horse, show records, bloodlines and pricing. A new content management system allows Circle Star staff to make changes to the copy and photographs as easily as in a word program. The site is now easier to find on search engines and has increased visibility through Dark Horse’s many web optimization techniques. While a web presence makes a huge difference in sales, horse people love watching performances of a great equine athlete. Working from existing video and photos, Dark Horse created a promotional video on DVD, complete with chapters on each featured horse. The DVD is adaptable so that additional footage, chapters, and photos can be easily inserted, making it an ideal working promotional tool for Circle Star. The final product was put on mini-DVD to be handed out to clients and at horse shows. At the 2007 Quarter Horse World Show, Circle Star Ranch featured the video on a large flat-screen TV and handed out over 50 DVDs to potential clients. |
