Halley's Camps, Website Redesign & Optimization

Halley’s Camps has been treating guests to the wonders of Northern Ontario Walleye, Northern Pike and Smallmouth Bass fishing for over 60 years. A 95% guest return rate means they know how to treat their anglers. As business has expanded, their website has become the primary source of guest information, marketing and communication.

In November 2006, Dark Horse launched Halley’s third generation website. A user-friendly content management system makes it easy to update content, pricing and photos. Optimization techniques have been exercised throughout the site and continue to elevate search engine rankings and page recognition.

Before the site redesign, going as far back as 2005, Halley's Camps stood at an average of 6,000 Monthly Page Views and 1,350 Monthly Unique Visitors. By early 2007, two months after the new site had launched, Page Views had increased to an average of 19,500 per month and Unique Visitors had increased to 2,500 per month. Furthermore, the site redesign utilized the same content as the previous site, but the pages seen by Google increased from 98 to 151... a 54% increase in pages without any new content!
